corona treatment to insure coatings and inks adhere to the catheter tube surface

Improvements from corona and plasma surface modification

• Improve adhesion for ink printing such as measurement marks

• Increase the adhesion of bio-compatible coatings on medical devices

• Increase the adhesion to low friction surfaces

• Increase he strength of  adhesion to plastic medical parts

Anodized aluminum electrode housings holding each one square ceramic electrode. Electrodes are mounted in gate configuration. Ozone exhaust and electrode cooling through the bottom of machine frame.  

Rotation sensor to activate treatment when parts are moving. Safety interlock to stop corona discharge when the shielding is opened.  

Transport system consisting of 2 O-Ring belts, between which the part will be transported. In- and outlet guiding system to ensure right positioning of part.  

Anodized aluminum upper machine part, with transparent machine shielding and covers for operator safety and easy cleaning.

Electrode system consisting of 2 x 8 ceramic electrodes in gate configuration.
